Intro and Interview by Tim Brodhagen
Veteran NYC photographer Craig Wetherby has been in the game for more than a minute. From his days with the pioneering urban culture and action sports magazine, The Fridge, through his current long time gig as photo editor at Frank151, Craig’s been known for capturing raw and riveting imagery of some of this era’s most interesting individuals. His latest endeavor is a collaborative project with Seattle’s Manik Skateboards with which he teamed up to produce a series of limited edition tees, hoodies, New Era fitted caps, and skate decks featuring some of his iconic photos. From May through December 2008 Manik will also be hosting a worldwide gallery tour of Craig’s prints. With stops in Seattle, Tokyo, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York, the Manik and Craig Wetherby Gallery Tour is a historic event not to be missed. I linked up with my old friend recently to give Living Proof a little more about the man behind the lens.
