Proof 7 Presents The African Book of Happiness
Proof 7 proudly presents their latest offering: The African Book of Happiness. For this book, photographer Joseph Peter traveled around Africa, stopping at all the countries, in 75 days during the World Cup tour documenting the smiles of the children of the country. Backed by the support of Coca-Cola, Peter now brings his work through the terrific and creative people at Proof 7. To make the book, Proof 7 used leather covers, dyed papyrus, Finchs, Mohawks, coated and uncoated, rice papers, Zimbabwe bamboos, African tribal cloth, furs, vintage aged wax paper, turn of the century inks and oil, lace paper, 1930′s butcher paper – each page hand treated with paints, foils, crayon, pastels, African acrylics, wire, sandpaper, and string which were all beaten, stretched, burned, stamped, laminated, glued, ripped, and finally hand stitched with hemp. Super impressive.
