iO Wright Piece In The Huffington Post About Manifest Equality
For the Manifest Equality show that wrapped up this weekend, our friend iO Wright contributed the picture on the left here. The show had a great significance for iO, as it is something she believes strongly in (and so should you). When you have time, please read her article in the Huffington Post about how she went about choosing her piece for the show, and what the show means to her. Here’s a brief excerpt: “I wanted to humanize the abstract idea of ‘gays’, and show the beautiful, strong, everyday people I knew, that this country is discriminating against. I planned to place these photos in stacks in front of my piece, for viewers to take home with them.”
