Picasso and the Avant-Garde in Paris

Picasso and the Avant-Garde in Paris, the new exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, is happening right now, and you should definitely check it out if you’re in the City of Brotherly Love. The exhibition surveys the great artist’s work from 1905 and 1945, covering his early abstractions, and his beginning forays into cubism. The exhibition also brings into play the role that Paris had not only on his work, but the twentieth century art world as a whole.
