Emory Douglas Prints In The Lazarides Shop
Lazarides has released 3 new prints in their shop from Black Panther Party member, and chief artist/designer of the group, Emory Douglas. While creating the design and layout for their official newspaper, Douglas served as the Revolutionary Artist of the Black Panther movement (after joining in 1967) with artwork that was featured on the paper’s front and back pages. Moving into a leadership role as Minister of Culture, Douglas oversaw production and design of the paper until the 80s. These three prints were originally published in 1970 and 1971.
