Plug Tunin’ – Johnny Thunders “You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory”
A day after Malcolm McLaren was laid to rest marks the 19th anniversary of the passing of another legend, Johnny Thunder. The former New York Doll and Heartbreaker wrote one of my favorite songs of all time, and it’s all the more fitting way to view the way we look at remembrance and things gone, as the song traces the bad decisions, regret, and despair that life’s decisions have cost him.
