Salon 94 Presents: Richard Prince T-Shirt Paintings
For the inagural show at their Bowery location, Salon 94 will present Richard Prince “T-Shirt Paintings” opening May 15th and running through June 26th. As a mini-retrospective of Prince’s work, the casually stretched, messily painted, and intimate in scale T-shirt paintings do just as you might expect: show Prince’s work in a unique and interesting way with t-shirts stretched on canvas. The T-shirt paintings vary in theme and style: some contain iconic Richard Prince jokes; some exploit Prince’s interest in hippie and rock and roll subcultures; others are abstract.
