Shepard Fairey “May Day” At Deitch Projects – Opening Night Photos

Living Proof Magazine editor-at-large John Freeborn made the trek up to New York City to see the final opening at Deitch Projects, and support his friend Shepard Fairey as the space opened up for his May Day exhibition. On hand before the massive crowd arrived, John grabbed plenty of pictures of Shepard’s massive show, which includes prints of icons like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Debbie Harry, Keith Haring, among others, and some other great pieces in the Shepard Fairey canon. A celebration of classic May Day festivities including political demonstrations and appreciation for labor laws, unions, and workers rights, the show was the perfect final cap at Deitch Projects, and the next logical step in the continuing great work of Shepard Fairey.
