Sylvia Ji “Las Adelitas” At Joshua Liner Gallery

Sylvia Ji will bring her alluringly beautiful soldaderas, to the Joshua Liner Gallery for an opening entitled “Las Adelitas” on July 10th. The fifteen acrylic on panel portraits in the show feature spiritual sisters of women who assisted and fought alongside troops in the Mexican Revolution. Slightly provocative/sexual/sensual and at the same time slightly horrifying/scary/mystical, the portraits of these “warriors” reflect the revolutionary spirit that defies class, gender, or age. The exhibition runs until August 7th. Check out some more images of the work below.
