Summer can really sometimes be a bummer. What’s not and never a bummer is when Aurel Schmidt has a show. That’s why I’m a little confused at the title of her upcoming show at The Fireplace Project in East Hampton, Summer Bummer. Based on this image, Schmidt’s new work seems a tad on the calm and mellow with the butterflies, but apparently it’s called “Crap Butterflies.” Awesome name. Anyway, the show opens up on August 20th and runs until September 6th.
