Kim Gordon: The Noise Paintings

Ecstatic Peace Library, the new brainchild of Thurston Moore and Eva Prinz, recently opened their catalog to the masses. One of the items is The Noise Paintings by Sonic Youth cohort Kim Gordon. In this 11 x14 signed and numbered unbound portfolio, you’ll not only find some paintings from Gordon, but also a recording from a band that bears the same name as the portfolio. The whole thing is described as “an esoteric experience and an approach deliberately offhand painterly gesture against feminist and conceptual legacies.” We’re glad to hear Kim Gordon is keeping it real. Ecstatic Peace Library also has offerings from Yoko Ono, Raymond Pettibon, and Thurston himself.
