Books: Andy Warhol Making Money

Man, we sure do love Rizzoli around here. And if you’re reading this, send us some stuff! Anyway, this month they will release a new unique book of dollar sign drawings from Andy Warhol. Making Money is 80 pages of these drawings done in 1981 as a gift to Berkeley Reinhold, the cousin of the visionary curator and critic Henry Geldzahler and the daughter of one of Warhol’s closest friends. The book begins with simple outlines and curves, and builds, with a flipbook-like genesis, from unique abstract drawings to recognizable images of the artist’s inimitable dollar sign. Look for it real soon.
