Plug Tunin’ – Ride “Chelsea Girl”
Bedroom lo-fi pop is a little different than Ride, who recorded this song in a bedroom and hallway as they were just getting started out. Little did they know, they’d turn into shoegaze wonderkids, pushing the genre further than some of their counterparts. Although they strayed on subsequent albums, it’s these early tracks that I’ll always be a fan of. Fun fact: Andy Bell, one of the founding members of Ride, later went on to play bass for Oasis.
