Shades Of Grey: New Works By Dethkills At POVevolving Gallery
Last week, the much talented folks of the Dethkills collective opened their first every solo show at Los Angeles’s POVevolving Gallery. The 21 works in “Shades Of Grey,” which Dethkills has been working on for the last year, feature a series entitled “The 27 Club,” a collection of works of musicians such as Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain who were taken well before their time. Also included are smaller pieces of every day objects such as a phone booth that you pass on your daily route or a box of your grandfather’s medals in the attic; relics of a not so distant, yet highly divergent, past. The exhibition runs until December 8th.
