Frank151 Presents The Ricky Powell Art Funk Explosion
Frank151 will hold the launch party for their 43rd Chapter TONIGHT at Sacred Gallery. The chapter is entitled “Bug Out!”, which we previewed here, and was curated by the legendary Ricky Powell. Along with an intimate look into the photographer’s apartment, the issue also includes conversations with Roberta Bayley, Ralph “The Funky Uncle” McDaniels, MC / DJ Edan (who Ricky has dubbed “The Jewish Big Daddy Kane”), and many more. The issue also features art/photo collaborations between Powell and the likes of our favorite, Love Me, Haculla, Dr. Dax, CHINO BYI, and others as well as a new series of NYC street shots.
Besides a party for the release of the magazine, Sacred Gallery will also be showing select images from the chapter.
