Set for a very special Valentine’s Day release, Tokyo artist Lady Aiko will offer up her new Lady Butterfly sculpture to the world. The baroque-style piece was inspired by a trip to Rome and came to fruition when Tomenosuke of Tomenosuke Sho-ten gave the artist an opportunity to turn her work into a sculpture. The sculpture consists of 13 intricate pieces, with the filing and painting done by hand. Aiko tackled everyone on the tiny details–body shape, personality, emotion, background story, color and glitter of the skin, and even the street soul.
