Shepard Fairey “Berlin Tower” Print

Releasing tomorrow, St. Patrick’s Day, Shepard Fairey goes the other way by opting out of the Irish route to release his “Berlin Tower” print. The tower, which was constructed in the sixties, was meant to serve as a symbol of the city and is a highly visibly landmark. Perhaps more poignant, the tower is a television tower, falling directly in line with the idea of big brother and the government control found some prevalent in Fairey’s works as evidenced by some of his classic imagery sneaking into the piece. The print will be available at a random time tomorrow and comes in a limited edition of 450.
