Chris Johanson x Standard Hotels Matchbooks
In their ongoing efforts to make their hotels an even greater and culturally rich experience, The Standard Hotels have called on Chris Johanson to get involved. To feed the hotel chain’s itch to have matchbooks at all their locations, they asked Johanson to sketch up something for each property. The New York ones portray the hotel as a sanctuary from the hustle of the city. The Miami location matchbooks depict a meditative beachy scene. The Hollywood property (seen above), which got a box instead of a book of matches, is about sitting back, chillaxing, and digging the mellow vibes of the laid-back SoCal lifestyle. The Downtown Los Angeles location will have it’s matchbooks soon, while all the others are currently available.
