David LaChapelle Prints From Exhibition A
Exhibition A continues their release of great prints from a multitude of talented artists. Their latest offering comes in the form of an open edition of David LaChapelle collages. Here’s some info on the works.
“Using his own photographs and rudimentary materials – corrugated cardboard, oil sticks, ink…LaChapelle has found a short circuit to the primal visual immediacy and lucidity he so desires. They are a pointed substitute for the state-of-the-art studio spaces chockablock with assistants, actors, models and super hi-tech equipment. This new body of work also channels the archetypal idea of artist in arcadia, his and eyes focused on simple tools and materials.”
