Keith Haring “Subway Drawings” At Arcadia University Exhibition Recap

With the sun shining bright in the morning, Living Proof Magazine decided it was time to get out of the office and take a merry little jaunt to Arcadia University to check out their current exhibition of subway drawings by the legendary Ketih Haring. An inspiration of ours (and many others) for a number of years, the clean, crisp chalk drawings on black paper of Haring’s that were on display only represent a small sampling of the thousands he did between 1980 and 1985. Simple, yet poignant, powerful, and uplifting, the drawings in the exhibition remind us that complexity isn’t always the best route, and message and meaning can speak loudly through a line drawing.
