On May 5th, the New York City location of Opera Gallery will open a poignant, powerful, and highly conceptual series of works from renowned graffiti artist Saber. Entitled “The American Graffiti Artist,” the exhibition focuses on layers and color, using both to uplift and brighten things that are often dreary, dark, or vacant. With the layers and the peeling of the beige paint, the exhibition brings the history of the underneath to the forefront, telling the stories of years later. Definitely not to be missed.
