Video: Cheated – Old Philadelphia Skate Film Featuring Chris Cole, JR Neves, And More

Before Love Park was turned into a flower-bed laden skate unfriendly spot and before Mayor Street and Mayor Nutter decided skateboarding was in fact a crime, and before all of these things caused all the really good skaters to head for better-paved pastures, the city of Philadelphia was a skate-heaven of sorts with the aforementioned park, the neighboring City Hall, FDR Park, Penn’s Landing, and more serving as the breeding grounds for the likes of Chris Cole, Josh Kalis, Stevie Williams, JR Neves and more. Thanks to Andrew Pry Ortega, Cheated, the video of all Philadelphia skateboarding from the mid 90s to the early 00s originally released in 2001 has made it’s way to Vimeo for your viewing pleasure, and we couldn’t be happier.
