Jules de Balincourt “Dismounted” Print From Exhibition A

Exhibition A is back with another great offering, this time Jules de Balincourt’s “Dismounted” piece gets the limited-edition stretched canvas print treatment.

Here’s some info on “Dismounted” -
On its surface, “Dismounted” appears to be the painterly rendering of a regal mare, but upon closer inspection the viewer notices a rider whitewashed from his perch…a Native American chief erased from his own narrative. Much of Jules de Balincourt’s subject matter has an anti-civilizationist feeling that delves into questions of American history. The original painting was recently featured in a group exhibition at White Columns.
