Marshall McLuhan’s seminal work “The Medium Is The Massage” gets a slight makeover thanks to Shepard Fairey. While the powerful words inside remain the same, Fairer recently designed a new cover for the book, which is available now through Gingko Press. The match seems perfect as evidenced by the following quotes from the book:

“Electrical Information Devices for universal, tyrannical womb-to-tomb surveillance are causing a very serious dilemma between our claim to privacy and the community’s need to know”.

“Our official culture is striving to force the new media to do the work of the old.”

A small quantity of the books will be signed by Fairey and sold on his website in the coming weeks.
