With many hats to wear, performance artist, musician, writer, and filmmaker Miranda July presents a new film in which she stars and directs. The Future premiered at Sundance this year, and above all things else, is narrated by a cat, which the leading couple (played by July and Hamish Linklater) are trying to adopt. But, with thirty days before they bring the cat home, the couple attempts to fulfill their quirky dreams as they feel a commitment to a cat puts their respective ages and life accomplishments into perspective.

The film is set for a July release.
