Los Angeles’s PRISM Gallery is the next stop on Ryan McGinness’s takeover of the city. After openings last week at Country Club and Michael Kohn Gallery, McGinness will once again display different work at PRISM. “Trophies” will feature new gold sculptures from McGinness’s Women series as a continuation of the themes explored in this new body of work. Taking the two dimensional drawings from the series and re-imagining them as three dimensional sculptures made from aluminum and painted gold. Along with the sculptures, giant-sized golden wall drawings of the women figures and a selection of works on paper will provide a point of reference for the sculpted pieces.

The exhibition opens on Thursday, May 26th and runs until July 16th.
