As part of the ongoing Levi’s Film Workshop, Nathan Meier and Malia Scharf’s film “Kenny Scharf: More, Newer, Better, Nower, Funner” takes a hearty jaunt with the artist subject as he travels in and around New York, Los Angeles, and the “Art In The Streets” exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. In the film, Scharf adorns walls, buildings, and more with his signature characters, making the even drabbest surface burst with sinister, but fun, monsters and faces.
