Video: VNA x Martha Cooper At MOCA

With all the hoopla and coverage surrounding the Art In The Streets exhibition at the MOCA, it’s rather refreshing to see a video emerge that takes a super-intimate look at one of the artists featured. It’s even better when it happens to be the very person who documented graffiti and street art in New York City and beyond since the beginning – Martha Cooper. Very Nearly Almost linked up with the photographer and created this video as she was getting her part in the exhibition together. Cooper talks about what she sees in graffiti and street art that can not be seen in other types. She also gives insight into the photos of artists she contributed to the exhibition, which includes an uncovered gem from her piles of photos in the form of a portrait of Ramellzee.
