Living Proof Magazine Issue #7: Richard Colman Feature

Have you done set design before?

A lot of the gallery work I do is pretty large scale and installation based so I think it lends itself well to this sort of project, but, no, I haven’t done a lot of actual set design. It’s something that I’ve really wanted to do more of for quite a while now, but I just haven’t had the opportunity. I’m really
looking forward to it.

Will your show at V1 Gallery with Andrew Schoultz be your first trip to Denmark?

No, I’ve been there a few times to do shows with V1 and some other places. The city is really beautiful, the people are nice, and at this point I’ve made some really good friends there that will be nice to see. Andrew and I have both shown with V1 for a few years now and have done group shows together with them and a few other galleries and although we’ve talked about it quite a few times, haven’t yet had the opportunity to do a proper show together with just the two of us. I think it’s going to be an exciting show.

Every Dane I’ve ever met says it’s the best place on Earth, so I hope you have a great time out there.

It’s up there, for sure.
