Living Proof Magazine Issue #7: Clare Rojas Feature

I’ve known Clare for a long time.

During these fifteen years, she’s always been the same sweet, talented, and genuine person.

I’ve also had the great privilege of seeing her work evolve over this period. She pulls from an eclectic set of inspirations. Some influences are more obvious than others, but with each she spins in her hand, experience and skill to create something new and amazing.

People love to try and categorize artists—folk, street, craft, contemporary, bologna, whatever.

Her recent opening in Los Angeles was a testament to her ability to reach people of all types as evidenced by a crowd that was intensely diverse—Russel Simmons, Ed Templeton, Jeffrey Deitch, Mary Kate and Ashley and me. What a crew! Clare’s work speaks to an wide range of viewers, and in my experience that is a rare gift.

A rare gift that we now give to you.
