Patrick Martinez “Hustlemania” At Known Gallery

Mixed media artist Patrick Martinez will bring “Hustlemania” to Known Gallery on March 19th. The exhibition will see the artist working with everyday people and objects at muses. Mixing harshness with beauty and humor, Martinez offers up a unique social commentary through his work. “Hustlemania” will feature more than 20 works, including large-scale paintings, sculpture and Martinez’s signature neon pieces The name of the show comes from a 2008 piece by Martinez – “Everyone was on hustlemode—and still are. When I was creating in the studio, this concept kept coming up: the idea of the paper chase, chasing the dream and all that. When I started looking at the body of work as a whole, I saw that theme binding everything together as a cohesive collection.”
