Kehinde Wiley “The World Stage: Israel” Documentary Film
Kehinde Wiley’s “The World Stage: Israel” is a a series of 15 oil paintings is the latest in his series which sets out to accentuate international cultures and their denizens, evoking discourse on an ever-expanding examination of globalization. “The World Stage: Israel” is currently coming to a close on May 28th at Roberts & Tilton Gallery. The above film, by photographer/filmmaker Dwayne R. Rodgers who shadowed Wiley on his visit to Israel, creates a poignant inside look at Wiley’s practice, involving street scenes from Jerusalem, Lod, and Tel Aviv.
